The CO2 fractional laser skin resurfacing is a safe, easy, and effective way to remove and greatly reduce the appearance of these types of unwanted blemishes on the body. The laser works by heating up the first layer of skin to burn it off and to stimulate growth of collagen which creates a new layer of skin. There is some downtime due to the peeling of the old layer of skin so it is recommended to take some time off of any activities for the week so you stay out of the sun and let the healing process do its thing.
